With so many resorts to choose from it is no wonder than millions of tourists choose to spend their holidays on Greek shores. Whether you want to choose a quiet resort with fantastic beaches or a vibrant city with a lively nightlife, you are guaranteed to find something to suit your needs during Greece holidays. Greek culture and tradition add to the long list of reasons to head to this ancient country, with remnants of the ancient civilizations around every corner.

Crete is one of the most popular places to spend your holidays in Greece, with spectacular beaches and a wide range of activities that are ideal for families. From hiking to water sports, Crete offers an exciting break perfect for keeping everyone entertained. Just off the north coast of Crete, there is a small place called Rethimnon that is ideal for couples or older travellers wanting to relax and unwind. The beaches are picturesque and can only be accessed on foot, making Rethimnon the ideal place to spend a quiet, secluded getaway.

Further along the east coast there is the impressive beach of Vai, the white sand is lined with palm trees that lead you to another smaller beach at the other end of the coast. Slightly off the coast of Crete is the small yet stunning island of Gramvousa which is home to an ancient fortress, trips to the island can only be undertaken through an organised tour.

Holidays to Greek islands have always been popular with European tourists, however the diversity of the attractions and the perfect weather attract holidaymakers from all around the world. The variety of resorts means that there really is something for all tastes and budgets, so whatever you look for in a holiday you can find it in Greece.
